SALT LAKE CITY, UT
JUNE 13-19th, 2026
COST $799 ($200 deposit)
This Summer, the High School team will lead a group of students to help the churches in the Salt Lake City area. Justin Bindel was a church planter in SLC for the past 10 years before returning on staff as the Young Adults Pastor here at First. He will be helping lead a team this summer of students to serve this lost city. There are a few partner churches in the area and the team can expect to help with Kids programming (VBS style), serve projects, and neighborhood outreach. This will be a life-changing trip to serve Jesus in a dark place and bring the light of the gospel to others.
WHAT WILL WE BE DOING:
Our Salt Lake City mission trip is an incredible opportunity for high school students to live on mission and grow in their faith. Throughout the week, students will partner with local church plants—serving in hands-on ways through outreach, helping lead and set up VBS, and intentionally engaging the community with the hope of the Gospel. They’ll also gain a deeper understanding of the beliefs of the LDS (Mormon) faith and how it differs from biblical Christianity, equipping them to share their faith with clarity and compassion. This trip is designed to stretch students, deepen their convictions, and help them see what it looks like to follow Jesus boldly in a unique cultural context.
