WANT TO FOLLOW JESUS?
We are so excited about your decision to follow Jesus! This video explains the good news God has for you. After watching, if you would like to follow Jesus with your life then you have three very important next steps.
First, Jesus asks you to make a public declaration of your decision. We call this Baptism. This is explained below.
Second, you need to find a life group. Currently, you are at the starting place with your relationship with God. The Bible says when you accept Jesus you are born again. Spiritually, you are just starting out. We are designed to walk with God with other people. Being in real relationship with other believers is where you will grow to know Jesus more, become like Jesus, and be on mission as an apprentice of Jesus. Finally, you need to read your bible to know who God is.
1. FOLLOW THROUGH WITH BAPTISM
What is baptism?
Baptism is an outward expression of an inward decision. It’s a person publicly declaring how Jesus changed their life. Being baptized is showing others that you’ve decided to follow Jesus, and it allows them to celebrate this decision with you (Acts 16:31-34).
Baptism doesn’t save a person; it’s a symbol and celebration of salvation (1 Peter 3:21). The power that brought Jesus back to life is the same power Jesus uses to change our lives – and that’s worth getting excited about!
Why should I be baptized?
Jesus instructs everyone who has given their life to him to be baptized. He even set the example by being baptized himself (Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 1:9). Being baptized is being obedient to what Jesus has asked us to do(1 John 2:3). Because Jesus went public about His love for us, we can go public about our love for Him. Being baptized shows that we turn away from a life of sin toward Jesus, the only one who can change us (Acts 2:38-41).
When should I be baptized?
For everyone who decides to follow Jesus, baptism is the next step. Anyone who gives their life to Jesus and becomes a Christian is ready to be baptized (Acts 8:12). It should be our first step as followers of Jesus. Baptism always should come after a person has decided to follow Jesus in their lives.

3. READ YOUR BIBLE
The way the we get to know Jesus is reading what He’s written to us. Reading your bible daily will change your life! Many times, we don’t know where to begin. So, here’s some suggested places to start. The images on the right are reading plans you can do from your phone.
If you simply want to begin reading the bible (not from a phone), we suggest you start with reading about Jesus’ life in the gospel of John. Read a chapter a day and ask God to speak to you as your read.
